Aneesh Varma is the Founder and CEO of Aire, a pioneering company that brings first-party data into active use within consumer credit. He launched Aire in 2014 after a long public campaign for reform, inspired by his personal struggle to get credit as a deserving young professional. Aire is now used by large banks and financial institutions and has backing from the most sophisticated investors in the field. Aneesh and his team continue to invest in research and build a robust new credit scoring method that helps consumers get a true credit evaluation and fairer access to credit. Their mission is to help people get access to essential financial products while ensuring they also prevent the debt burden. They are leveraging new data, algorithms, and machine learning while ensuring they continue preserving the ethical standards that have made Aire the leader in this field over the past 6 years. Before founding Aire, Aneesh served as a Board Trustee for the Startup Leadership Program (SLP) UK Chapter, a highly selective education program for those who want to become top startup CEOs. He was also a Board Director at Lehigh University LUAA, where he studied Engineering and Quantitative Finance, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. He also holds an International Baccalaureate in Science and Technology from CA International Baccalaureate. Aneesh has relevant experience of 17.28 years and has a strong tech stack, including ML and research scientist skills. He is passionate about solving the problem of fair access to credit and believes that it is a problem that needs to be solved.
